New Hampshire Debt Management Programs

New Hampshire Debt Management Programs

There are a number of debt management programs in New Hampshire designed to help their clients to organize their debt and create a plan to pay it off. These programs have helped many residents of the Granite State to get a fresh start financially and learn how to better handle the responsibilities of credit.

CCCS of NH

Consumer Credit Counseling Service of New Hampshire and Vermont is a not-for-profit community-based service agency providing financial and debt management counseling to residents of the states of New Hampshire and Vermont. Consumer Credit Counseling Service (CCCS) of New Hampshire and Vermont works to educate consumers on the responsibility that comes with obtaining credit and helps provide their clients with the tools necessary to create and follow a budget. Clients receive a free review of their debt situation by certified credit counselors, who make recommendations on how best to resolve their debt. Credit counselors then work with individual creditors to work out a payment plan and, when possible, reduce interest and late fees. Consumers are not charged for these services and all debt is combined into one monthly payment that is distributed to creditors directly through CCCS.

Freedom Debt Management

Freedom Debt Management is a national, nonprofit organization with offices located throughout the state of New Hampshire. Freedom Debt Management works hand in hand with debtors and consumers to help resolve unresolved debt in accordance with New Hampshire consumer law. Consumers receive independent reviews of their current debt situation by Freedom Debt Management's trained and certified debt counselors and are helped to work out a payment plan based upon their expenses and current income. Freedom Debt Management also works with debtors on behalf of the consumer to lower interest rates, remove late fees and make settlements with past due creditors, often for much less money than was originally owed. Clients agree to combine their debt into a single monthly payment, payable to Freedom Debt Management. This payment is then distributed to the individual debtors by the assigned credit counselor. Freedom Debt Management provides these services at no charge to the consumer.
