How to Activate My PayPal Debit Card

PayPal offers direct person-to-person electronic submission of funds. You can access money in your PayPal account by using a PayPal debit card. This card allows you to withdraw money from local ATMs without a lengthy transfer process to your bank account. It also allows you to make purchases, just as you would with a credit card, and have the money taken directly from your account. For security reasons, when you first receive your PayPal card, you will have to activate it.

Log in to your account.

Click "Profile" and then "PayPal Debit Card," which will be in the "Financial Information" section.

Click "Activate Now," which is near the listing for your PayPal debit card.

Enter any verification information requested, such as expiration date, and click "Activate Debit Card."
