How to Make Money at Home for Free

There are legitimate ways to make money at home for free. If you are a stay at home parent, unemployed, a full-time student, or someone who just needs to boost your income, you can make a steady monthly income without any investment and without leaving your home. This can be done online. However, it may not always be easy to filter through the opportunities that are legitimate as opposed to the ones that are not. With legitimate sources and some extra time, you could earn anywhere from a few dollars to hundreds of dollars each month.

Instructions

    1

Writing articles for online informational websites is one way to make money at home for free.

This is not a way to make a lot of money quick, however, in the long run this could make you more money per hour of your time than anything else. Article websites such as eHow, Xomba, and Infobarrel pay you to write articles. The amount of the payment usually depends on the amount of traffic and, thus, ad revenue that is generated from your article. Money could start as a trickle, however, as articles work their way up to the top of the search engines, the money per article can easily pick up and flow for months or even years after the article was written. Say a good article brings in one dollar a month. That may not seem like a lot at first, but when it continues to bring in that one dollar each month for years, well, you do the math. Now multiply that by hundreds of articles. You can sign up at eHow through the home page by clicking on the "Write" tab. You can sign up at Xomba by clicking on the link under the "Additional Resources" section just below this article.

Provide tutoring services on line or in your home.

With high stakes testing in education, students are getting more tutoring than ever. If you have a strong background in science or math or another academic area, you could provide those services. Many times, the payment is for a half hour to an hour of tutoring and it can be a good hourly wage. Let our local schools and colleges know you are available, talk to parents and spread the word, etc. Let them know what your expertise is. However, enter into it with a lot of patience. Another way to provide tutoring in through online tutoring services. the advantage is that you just have to log on and do not have to find the clients. However, you also do not have control over the fee you make, although they can still pay decently.

    3

    Your own website or blog.

A website or blog could be about almost anything such as a personal hobby, sports, parenting, updates on soap operas, pets, etc. If you have knowledge and want to share it on a regular basis, then this could be for you. You need to sign up with Google Adsense to place ads on your website or blog. You make money from the ads. However, you have to make it very clear to family and friends that they are not allowed to check out the ads on your website or blog in order to help you out. That will get you banned fast. This is also not a fast source of income, as it takes time to acquire an audience of readers and to get good ranking on the search engines so that people find you. With a good audience, though, this could eventually lead to a good source of steady income.
