How to Send Money Verified by Visa

How to Send Money Verified by Visa

Verified by Visa is a program offered by Visa which allows the cardholder to add an extra layer of security to her purchase by creating a "verified by Visa" password. Visa also works with merchant sites to declare that they are reputable companies. These companies will have the "verified by Visa" logo on their webpage. This gives the consumer confidence in what he is purchasing and cuts down on credit and debit card fraud.

Instructions

Credit Card and Debit Cards

    1

Enroll your credit card in the program. This can be done on the shopping website which is "verified by Visa," the Visa website itself (see Resources) or on your card issuer's website. For instance, if your Visa card was issued by Bank of America, you could enroll through its website. To enroll, you will be asked for your credit card and contact information including the expiration date and security code found on the back of the credit or debit card.

    2

Create a password. The password should consist of both numbers and letters and not be easily guessed.

    3

Shop online at merchants which display the Verified by Visa logo. During checkout, you will be asked to provide the password that you created.

    4

Complete your order. After hitting "Send" or "Complete" order, your funds will be sent utilizing the "Verified by Visa" program.

Sending Cash
