How to Put Money From a Prepaid American Express Card Into PayPal

PayPal allows you to transfer money from a prepaid American Express Card to another PayPal account. PayPal will not allow you to transfer the funds from the prepaid American Express Card to your PayPal account. When transferring the funds to another account, PayPal will instantly withdraw the funds from the prepaid American Express card and transfer them to the selected PayPal account.

Go to the PayPal website, then enter your email address and password and click the "Log In" button.

Click the "Send Money" tab.

Enter the email address associated with the PayPal account that you want to send the money to. Enter the amount that you want to send. Click the "Continue" button.

Click the "Change" link located under the "Payment Method" sub-section.

Click the "Add Credit Card" link located in the upper-right corner of the funding option Web page.

Enter the name that appears on your prepaid American Express card.

Select "American Express" from the drop-down menu. Enter the prepaid card number, expiration date and the card verification number from the front of the card.

Click the "Enter a New Address as Billing Address" option, then enter the billing address associated with the prepaid card.

Click the "Add Card" button.

Select your prepaid American Express card from a list of payment options. Click the "Continue" button.

Click the "Send Money" button to transfer the money from your prepaid American Express Card to the selected account.
