How to Obtain a Payment History for Child Support in the State of California

Obtaining your child support payment history in California is useful if you have any questions about your payments, need proof the support was paid or want to see the past activity on the account. Both the obligated parent and the receiver of the support can access payment records for the account. The California Department of Child Support Services has your payment history available online though the "Customer Connect" center.

Instructions

    1

Visit the official website of the California Department of Child Support Services. Click "Check My Support Account" on the left side of the Web page. Select "Log In" on the Customer Connect section. Enter your participant ID or Social Security number and PIN. Click the "Log-in" button underneath the PIN field. Select the "My Payments" tab and click the option that applies to your case. Review, download and print your payment history from your account page.

    2

Click on the "I need a PIN" link underneath the "Login" button if you do not have a PIN. Enter your first and last name and participant ID or Social Security number. Select your pin delivery method; you may receive your PIN by email or post. Email takes one business day, and postal mail may take up to 10 business days. Click "Submit" in the lower-right corner of your screen to send your PIN request.

    3

Contact the Local Child Support Agency handling your case if you cannot review payment history online. Request a copy of your payment history. Review your paperwork from the agency for contact information or use the "LCSA Offices" locator found on the official website of the California Department of Child Support Services.
