If you're dealing with a credit bureau, you're serious about getting results. After all, credit bureaus report the credit information that creditors and employers review before deciding to lend you money or to hire you, respectively. Equifax is one of the three major credit bureaus, and if you're working with a particular Equifax agent you may want to send him supplemental information or signed documents via Registered Mail so you have a record of receipt.

Ask the Equifax agent with whom you're dealing for his name, mailing address and phone number.
2Prepare your letter and make a copy of it your records.
3Decide whether you want to send your letter via First-Class Mail (2-to-9-days estimated delivery) or Priority Mail (2-to-3 -days estimated delivery).
4Bring your letter to a United States Post Office and tell your postal representative that you want to send it "Registered Mail" by First-Class or Priority.
5Provide the postal representative with the name, address and phone number of your Equifax agent.
6Pay the postage and the Registered Mail fee and keep your receipt.
7Attach your receipt, which includes the tracking number, to the copy of your letter for your records. You can monitor the delivery and receipt of your registered letter by entering the tracking number on the USPS website.
