A Sony credit card is a great way to earn rewards for the electronics and gadgets you invest in normally. You can earn points to get free items, discounts and other rewards that you will thoroughly enjoy. Below, you'll learn how to get your own Sony card so you can start receiving benefits as soon as you receive and start using it.

Ensure that your credit is good. You will need to have good or above-average credit in order to obtain the card. Checking your credit before applying will give you the chance to fix any blips. Get a free copy of your credit report at Annual Credit Report. See "Additional Resources" for link.
2Get the application as well as the member benefits information about at the SonyRewards website (see below). Here, you will be given the option to apply for the card. Click on the graphic and proceed to the application page. The process will take about 15 minutes and many will be approved right away. If your credit is not good enough or you can't be approved for other reasons, you will receive notification both online and in the mail.
3Provide the right information. Take your time filling in the information so that you get everything correct. You'll need to provide your Social Security number, address, date of birth, mother's maiden name, household income and information about your job. Once you've entered all the relevant information, review the application for accuracy.
4Apply for the Sony credit card. You will be given another chance to see the information you've entered and make sure that it's correct. Edit or proceed with the application. You will be told that your application is under review, they were unable to grant you a card at this time, or that you've been approved. If you're unable to receive a card, you will be notified via us postal mail as to why.
5Use your Sony credit card. Every time you use your card, you will rack up reward points that you will then be able to redeem for cool prizes like Sony DVDs, Playstations, CDss and more. In fact, the first time you use your card, you'll rack up 4000 points (assuming Sony is still running the promotion.)
