How to Get a Credit Report While You Have LifeLock

LifeLock is designed to protect consumers from identity theft. The subscription-based service contacts national credit reporting agencies to initiate fraud alerts on your behalf. Once LifeLock has initiated the fraud alert for you, it becomes more difficult for others to obtain credit fraudulently using your identity. As part of the LifeLock service, you will automatically get a credit report while you have a LifeLock subscription.

Instructions

    1

Select a LifeLock service plan. The service offers annual and monthly subscriptions.

    2

Provide the required identifying information, including your address, date of birth and Social Security number. Pay for the service to begin coverage.

    3

Check your email for a confirmation notice from LifeLock about your credit report. The email will notify you when LifeLock has requested on your behalf that the free annual credit report from AnnualCreditReport.com be sent to you.

    4

Check your postal mail for delivery of your credit report. The AnnualCreditReport.com website notes that the national reporting agencies will send your credit report within 15 days of the date it is requested.

    5

Mark your calendar with a reminder that LifeLock will automatically request your free credit report for you annually.
