ATM machines provide quick access to your cash when you need it most. When using the ATM machine, your card is usually returned after you complete a transaction, but sometimes it isn't ejected. This can happen because the ATM machine malfunctions or because someone tampered with it to steal information from your card. You can prevent fraud and other hassles, and get your ATM card back.
Instructions
- 1
Press the "Go Back" or "Cancel Transaction" button on the ATM machine a couple of times.
2Inform security personnel in the bank or a store manager and ask them to prevent others from using the ATM machine for a few minutes.
3Wait for bank personnel or a store manager to retrieve your card from the ATM machine.
4Call your bank immediately, if store personnel can't retrieve the ATM card, and explain the situation, so they can quickly freeze your card and mail you a new one. If you don't know the customer service number, call directory assistance from your cell phone and ask for your bank's 24-hour customer service number.
