How to Transfer Money From a Credit Card to a Check Debit Card

For consumers who own both a credit card and a checking account, it's possible to transfer funds between the two in a variety of ways. If both a credit and debit card are issued through the same bank, simply contacting that bank or using its online banking service to link the accounts will easily allow transfers between the two. But if the cards are issued by different institutions, subscribing to an online service such as PayPal also allows for easy transfers.

Instructions

    1

Create an account with PayPal. Visit www.paypal.com and select "sign up." Follow the prompts to create a personal account. You will need your personal banking information, including your checking account number and bank's routing number.

    2

Sign into PayPal and add your credit card to your PayPal account. Select "profile" and "add or edit credit card." Enter the required information.

    3

Select "send money" while still signed into PayPal. Enter your email account (the one you used to enroll in PayPal) for the recipient, enter the amount to be paid and select "continue." Select your credit card as the form of payment and authorize the transaction.

    4

Wait 3 to 5 business days for the funds to be transferred from your credit card to your checking account's debit card.
