How to Check the Balance of a Michigan Bridge Card

When you make a purchase with your Michigan Bridge Card, your Electronic Benefit Transfer balance is listed at the bottom of the receipt, according to the Michigan EBT website. If you cannot find your last receipt, you can check your account balance online or by telephone. Checking your balance online also allows you to view your transaction history.

Locate your Michigan Bridge Card as well as your Social Security card. You'll need the numbers located on the cards to register your account and view your balance.

Visit the official Michigan Electronic Benefit Transfer website (see Resources). Click on "Create User Account."

Type your Social Security number, date of birth and 16-digit Michigan Bridge Card number. Choose a username and password. You'll use this to access your account each time.

Click "Submit." The system will verify your information to check your card number and match it with your Social Security number. Log in using the username and password that you created.

Check your account balance on the account management screen. The balance displayed is the amount of funds you have left on your Michigan Bridge Card.
